Volleyball Game Preview: Providence Academy Lions vs. Watertown-Mayer Royals

The Providence Academy Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Watertown-Mayer Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Providence Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Eagle Ridge Academy as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14, 25-15.

Providence Academy relied on the efforts of Brooke Huegel, who had 19 digs and one assist, and Kyra Welch, who had five kills, five blocks, four digs, and two aces. That's the most blocks Welch has posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, Watertown-Mayer made easy work of Rockford two weeks ago and carried off a 3-0 win.

The victory got Watertown-Mayer back to even at 12-12. As for Providence Academy, the win got them back to even at 15-15.
