Putnam City North hadn't done well against Choctaw recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Putnam City North Panthers took their game with ease, bagging a 62-35 win over the Choctaw Yellowjackets. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 24 points or more this season.

Putnam City North was led to victory by Brandie Harrod and Kiana Gray. Harrod dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Gray posted 13 points and four steals. Gray has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Nykaiya Dillard was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Putnam City North smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups.

Putnam City North pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.3 points per game. As for Choctaw, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-3.
