El Dorado's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Galt. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.
El Dorado let JJ Allen and Joe Parsons run wild. Allen went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Parsons went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI. That's the most runs Parsons has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Rylan Phillips, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: El Dorado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Liberty Ranch beat Argonaut 6-1 on Thursday.
Vance Moe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Liberty Ranch got a big performance out of Nolan House, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Hunter Adversalo was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
El Dorado is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. Liberty Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. El Dorado hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Liberty Ranch struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
