Football Recap: Midview Middies vs. Elyria Pioneers        
        
		
             Midview's game  last Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They took their  matchup on the road  with ease, bagging  a  49-7 win over the Elyria Pioneers. That looming  49-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Middies yet this  season.
  Dior Jones was a one-man wrecking crew for Midview as he picked up 86 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jones showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 66 yards.
 Midview wouldn't let Elyria keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as  Xavier Padilla,  Max Kucera,  and  Nathaniel Shenberger picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Elyria's side was  Brayden Homoki, who made 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended a pass in addition to snagging   an  interception.
 Midview now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for Elyria,  they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
 Midview is taking a road trip to  take on Olmsted Falls  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Elyria, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Berea-Midpark  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
