While Evergreen Valley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged out the Silver Creek Raiders 3-2 on Monday. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Evergreen Valley wouldn't go down easily and took Silver Creek into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-16, 25-16, 19-25, 17-15.

Evergreen Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Silver Creek, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.
