Softball Recap: Aloha Takes a Loss

Aloha started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Sunset. They fell just short of the Apollos by a score of 6-5 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Apollos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 back in April.

Brooklyn Sweatman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Izzy Wagner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Aloha and nudges their season record down to 10-9. As for Sunset, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Aloha will take on rival Westview at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sunset is set to challenge their familiar foe Southridge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
