Preview: Chambersburg Trojans vs. Central Dauphin East Panthers
The Chambersburg Trojans will be playing at home against the Central Dauphin East Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
While it was all tied up 19-19 at halftime, Chambersburg was not quite Carlisle's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Chambersburg took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carlisle.
Meanwhile, Central Dauphin East pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Central Dauphin 65-61. While losing is never fun, Central Dauphin East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while Central Dauphin is ranked 49th).
Chambersburg's loss dropped their record down to 10-4-1. As for Central Dauphin East, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Chambersburg strolled past Central Dauphin East in their previous meeting on January 3rd by a score of 65-50. Will Chambersburg repeat their success, or does Central Dauphin East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
