After a string of three wins, Savanna's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Monrovia Wildcats by a score of 2-1.
Genesis Hanmann paced Savanna's offense, picking up eight kills. Hanmann got some help from Kaedon Anderson and his 16 assists. Anderson was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.
Savanna's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Monrovia, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season.
