Baseball Recap: Hillsdale Takes a Loss

After flying high against Westmont last Thursday, Hillsdale came back down to earth. The Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS fell just short of the Leigh Longhorns by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the FIGHTING KNIGHTS of the 6-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Jacob Bonner was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Parker Jessup, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Hillsdale now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Leigh, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Coming up, Hillsdale will face off against Mills at 6:30 p.m. on March 7th. As for Leigh, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-1 win against Evergreen Valley on the 4th.
