Softball Recap: Lincoln Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lincoln had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 22-8 margin over the Monte Vista Monarchs. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 20-0 victory the Monarchs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

The win got Lincoln back to even at 10-10. As for Monte Vista, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will square off against High Tech SD at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Monte Vista, they will challenge Mount Miguel at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
