Basketball Recap: Fayette Christian vs. Hillsboro Christian Academy Crusaders
Fayette Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillsboro Christian Academy Crusaders on Saturday. Fayette Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hillsboro Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Jonah Brannon had a dynamite game for Hillsboro Christian Academy, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Brannon also racked up four offensive rebounds, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Connor Henderson was another key player, going 6 for 12 en route to 12 points plus five rebounds and two steals.
The win got Hillsboro Christian Academy back to even at 1-1.
Fayette Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Beth Haven Christian on December 6th. As for Hillsboro Christian Academy, they will square off against Scioto Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
