Softball Recap: Lasalle's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

LaSalle waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Monterey Wolves 16-1. Considering the Tigers have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

LaSalle's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Monterey, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Coming up, LaSalle will face off against Quitman at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Quitman's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so LaSalle's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Monterey, they will head out to face off against Oak Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Hill has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something Monterey will no doubt try to take advantage of.
