Softball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington lost against Brooks back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lexington Golden Bears lost 15-4 to the Brooks Lions.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Brooks, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will take on Lauderdale County in a tournament on Saturday. As for Brooks, they will venture away from home to face off against Hatton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Brooks is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
