Basketball Game Preview: Lyndhurst Golden Bears vs. Weehawken Indians

The Lyndhurst Golden Bears will take on the Weehawken Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lyndhurst is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 86-59 stomp they got against Clifton. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Golden Bears as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Weehawken put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 43-30 win over Hawthorne. The 43-point effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Weehawken's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Lyndhurst, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Lyndhurst was able to grind out a solid victory over Weehawken when the teams last played back in January, winning 78-67. Will Lyndhurst repeat their success, or does Weehawken have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
