Basketball Recap: Twin Springs Comes Up Short

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 88-59, which was the final score in the Twin Springs Titans's tilt against the Cumberland Gap Panthers on Saturday.

Cumberland Gap got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kolton Goins out in front who went 12 of 18 from beyond the arc on his way to 43 points. The match was Goins' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Brady Harris was another key player, going 11 for 20 en route to 26 points and eight boards.

Twin Springs' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Cumberland Gap, they moved to 11-13 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Twin Springs will face off against Thomas Walker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cumberland Gap, they will challenge Hancock County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
