Columbia had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 66-31 win over the Poplarville Hornets. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 25 points or more this season.

Columbia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avyon Lewis, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Foxworth, who had 11 points.

Columbia's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.5 points. As for Poplarville, they are on a 39-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.
