Soccer Game Preview: Sandia vs. Hope Christian

The Sandia Matadors will square off against the Hope Christian Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Sandia's win against Manzano wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Matadors won by a goal and slipped past the Monarchs 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sandia.

Meanwhile, Hope Christian kept a clean sheet against Valley on Tuesday. They blew past the Vikings 10-0. Fans of Hope Christian have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Their offense was hitting Valley from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Nikki Dountas led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Hope Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Sandia, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
