Volleyball Recap: Stanton Starts off Right with Win over Sandalwood

Stanton took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Sandalwood Saints. For the Blue Devils, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Saints walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-24, 17-25, 25-16.

Laeyan Rafat was nothing short of spectacular: she had 11 digs and two aces. Those 11 digs gave her a new career-high.

Sandalwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Stanton and Sandalwood will both be playing Englewood the next time they take the court. The Saints will host the Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Blue Devils will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
