Volleyball Recap: Shadow Ridge Takes Down Ranked Valley Christian

Shadow Ridge faced Valley Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Stallions walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Trojans. The Stallions were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Trojans, so the Stallions were just returning the favor.

Haley Cashatt paced Shadow Ridge's offense, picking up seven kills. Cashatt got some help from Rigley Garrison and her 20 assists. Garrison also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Natalie Berry, racking up two apiece.

Shadow Ridge now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Valley Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Shadow Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Deer Valley on the 5th. As for Valley Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Westwood on the 5th.
