Volleyball Recap: Rock Hill Blue Hawks vs. Georgetown Eagles
Rock Hill saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Georgetown Eagles. The Blue Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19.
Georgetown found their leader in sophomore Jordan Pitkethley, who had 11 digs and one assist. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Pitkethley. Macey Gates also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.
Rock Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Georgetown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Hill will challenge McKinney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Georgetown, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Vista Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on the 26th.
