Volleyball Recap: Rock Hill Takes a Loss

Rock Hill's tournament run continued when they took on Georgetown on Friday. The Blue Hawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Blue Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19.

Leading Georgetown to victory were Jordan Pitkethley and Rylee Holland. Pitkethley had 11 digs and one assist, while Holland had six digs and four assists. Those six digs gave Holland a new career-high. Macey Gates also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Rock Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Georgetown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Rock Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Ellison on the 16th. As for Georgetown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Weatherford on the 16th.
