Basketball Recap: White Academy Comes Up Short

White Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Sunbright Tigers 62-17. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Tigers are ranked 132nd).

When it comes to explaining why White Academy lost, don't look at Renee Gilley. Despite the final result, she posted six points and 12 rebounds.

White Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Sunbright, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

White Academy will take on Lakeway Christian Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sunbright, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Sunbright Tigers take on the Oliver Springs Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
