Basketball Recap: St. Paul's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Victoria Gators HomeSchool last Friday, St. Paul came back down to earth. The St. Paul Cardinals took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bracken Christian Warriors. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost seven in a row.

Bracken Christian's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wyatt Parsons, who went 6 of 9 en route to 13 points and six assists. What's more, Parsons also racked up four boards, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Ethan Cruz was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds.

St. Paul's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2. As for Bracken Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-4.

St. Paul has already played their next matchup, a 59-48 defeat against Sacred Heart on the 17th. As for Bracken Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Faith Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
