Football Recap: Daphne Skates Past Theodore with Ease

Daphne won the last time they faced Theodore and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bobcats 40-6. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Trojans just coasted through the last quarter.

Daphne had a senior duo take command as Aubrey Gregg threw for 167 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 passes and Abby Johnson picked up 100 receiving yards and three scores.

Daphne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. AR Smith led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Johnson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Daphne's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Daphne will take on Robertsdale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Trojans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Theodore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
