Dynamic duo of Sophia Concepcion and Sofia Verlezza lead Holy Child to victory

Recap: Holy Child Gryphons vs. Winsor Wildcats
The Holy Child Gryphons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 66-44 margin over Winsor. That 66-44 margin sets a new team best for Holy Child this season.
Leading Holy Child to victory were Sophia Concepcion and Sofia Verlezza. Concepcion scored 19 points, while Verlezza scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that Verlezza scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alessia Paladino, who scored eight points.
Holy Child's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Winsor, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Holy Child will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Suffield Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Winsor will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cushing Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
