Football Game Preview: Edison Wildcats vs. Indian Creek Redskins

The Edison Wildcats will square off against the Indian Creek Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edison knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Indian Creek likes a good challenge.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Edison and Harrison Central had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wildcats strolled past the Huskies with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-19.

Meanwhile, Indian Creek fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against St. Clairsville on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. The contest marked the Redskins' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Edison pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.5 points over those games. As for Indian Creek, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
