Softball Recap: Butler County Takes a Loss

Butler County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the Ohio County Eagles. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 8-1.

Butler County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-24. As for Ohio County, the victory got them back to even at 16-16-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Butler County will welcome Logan County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ohio County, they will host Hancock County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.65 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
