Carroll never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the DeKalb Barons 6-0. Considering the Chargers have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Emilia Garcia, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep DeKalb off the board. Garcia has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Tessa Patterson was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelyn Kinsey, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
The win made it two in a row for Carroll and bumps their season record up to 12-4.
