Baseball Recap: Bangor Comes Up Short

Bangor lost against Hartford on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings came up short against the Huskies, falling 9-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wyatt Schnieder was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He has become a key player for Bangor: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-11 otherwise.

Bangor now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Hartford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bangor will face off against Gobles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hartford, they will square off against Marcellus at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
