Baseball Recap: Ten Straight Home Wins for Varela

Varela had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the JC Bermudez Doral Thunder a 5-0 shutout.

Not much got past Andy Espinoza, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep JC Bermudez Doral off the board. Espinoza has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jonathan Paniagua, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Nick Baluja was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
