Basketball Recap: South Gate Comes Up Short

South Gate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 53-40 to the Diamond Ranch Panthers.

South Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Diamond Ranch, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

South Gate and Elkton will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. South Gate is facing Elkton at the right time seeing as Elkton is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Diamond Ranch, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Genevieve at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
