Basketball Recap: Honesdale Takes a Loss

Honesdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 72-63 to the Riverside Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the Vikings are ranked 31st).

Honesdale's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Riverside, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.

Honesdale has already played their next matchup (against Mid Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Riverside will look to defend their home court on Friday against Old Forge at 7:15 p.m. Riverside has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 205 points over their last three games.
