Volleyball Recap: Calvary Chapel Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Chapel Academy entered their contest against Carver on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Calvary Chapel Academy lost 3-0 to Carver. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Carver this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Calvary Chapel Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Carver work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 27-25, 25-13.

Carver's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grace Hyland, who had 19 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Hyland has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Maeve Zakrzewski, who had ten kills and eight blocks.

Calvary Chapel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Carver, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Chapel Academy will welcome St. John Paul II at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carver, they will square off against Abington at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
