Soccer Recap: Marist Takes a Loss

Marist fell victim to Saint Ignatius College Prep and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Marist can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 259th, while Saint Ignatius College Prep are ranked 78th).

Marist has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7-3.

Marist wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against St. Rita on the 16th. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Lincoln Park on the 16th.
