Baseball Recap: Pueblo Comes Up Short

After flying high against Amphitheater last Tuesday, Pueblo came back down to earth. The Pueblo Warriors lost 12-4 to the Douglas Bulldogs on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

Omar Soto made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Cuen, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Pueblo now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Douglas, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Pueblo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-3 loss against Sunnyside on the 7th. As for Douglas, they have also already played their next game, a 6-2 defeat against Seton Catholic on the 12th.
