West Scranton has gone 9-1 against Scranton Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Invaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. West Scranton has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 22.

Monday just wasn't the day for West Scranton's offense. They came up short against Valley View on Monday, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Scranton Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Scranton 7-6. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Abigail Wilce made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Wilce was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Cuck, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Scranton Prep's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for West Scranton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

West Scranton took their victory against Scranton Prep in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Invaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
