Baseball Recap: Frisco Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Frisco's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Memorial Warriors on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 on Tuesday.

Frisco got a good showing from Brendan Bounds, who struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the first time Bounds hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in February.

On the hitting side, Frisco saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Voris, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Voris is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Frisco and nudges their season record down to 20-8. As for Memorial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-16.

Frisco does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Memorial, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against The Colony at 7:30 p.m.
