Softball Recap: Kingswood Oxford's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Kingswood Oxford entered their tilt with Miss Porter on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on Miss Porter's with a sharp 14-2 win. Considering the Wyverns have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Alexis Nisyrios ?27 was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI. Those doubles were her first of the season.

In other batting news, Olivia Raccio ?28 was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Reminisce Rosado ?28, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Kingswood Oxford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.

Kingswood Oxford's record now sits at 7-2. As for Miss Porter's, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Kingswood Oxford will face off against Williston Northampton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Miss Porter's, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Westminster School at 2:00 p.m.
