Recap: Paulding County Patriots vs. Langston Hughes Panthers        
        
		
            
 If the Paulding County Patriots were riding high  off their  54-33 takedown of the East Paulding Raiders last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Paulding County took a serious blow against Langston Hughes on Friday, falling  65-35. Paulding County has struggled against Langston Hughes recently, as their  match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Paulding County's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Sam Erves, who  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and 14  rebounds, and  Hope Johnson who  scored five points along with eight  rebounds and six  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Erves has scored all season.
 Langston Hughes got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Destiny Givens out in front who  scored 12 points along with seven  steals and six  assists.  Kyla Greene was another key contributor,  scoring 16 points along with three  steals.
 Paulding County's loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-10. As for Langston Hughes, their victory was  their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 16-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paulding County won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Douglas County at 3:30  p.m.  on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Georgia (Douglas County is ranked 204th, while Paulding County is ranked 185th). As for Langston Hughes, they won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Carrollton at 3:30  p.m.  on January 27th. Carrollton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
