Softball Recap: Tipton Comes Up Short

If Tipton was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Frankfort on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils fell 8-4 to the Madison-Grant Argylls on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Argylls: they've now lost four in a row.

Makayla Schinlaub made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Tipton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Madison-Grant, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tipton will face off against Clinton Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Madison-Grant, they will host Frankton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
