Basketball Game Preview: St. Dominic Saints vs. Oak Hill Raiders

St. Dominic is 0-4 against Oak Hill since December of 2014 but things could change on Tuesday. The St. Dominic Saints will challenge the Oak Hill Raiders at 6:30 p.m. St. Dominic will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

St. Dominic will head into Monday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 20-point drubbing they dealt Boothbay on Monday. Everything went St. Dominic's way against Boothbay as St. Dominic made off with a 51-31 victory. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oak Hill). They blew past Lisbon, posting a 63-31 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Oak Hill's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-15. As for St. Dominic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.

St. Dominic lost to Oak Hill on the road by a decisive 46-30 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2016. Can St. Dominic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
