After losing to South Atlanta the last time they met, Heard County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Heard County Braves took their contest at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-14 win over the South Atlanta Hornets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Heard County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Tisdale out in front who rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Dereon Pearson was another key rusher, rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry.

Heard County wouldn't let South Atlanta keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Max Lasseter, Antonio Heath, and Braeden McKenzie picked up one apiece.

Heard County's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for South Atlanta, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heard County will take on Murphy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Atlanta, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
