With a playoff win on the line, Menendez rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles 61-59. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their 25-point performance the game before.

Menendez's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sophia Scibelli led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. The match was Scibelli's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakayla Newsome, who posted 16 points and five steals.

Menendez is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.
