Soccer Recap: Madison Takes Down West Lincoln in a Playoff Battle

Madison had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won by a goal and slipped past the West Lincoln Rebels 3-2. Madison wouldn't have won without Millie Flores, who scored the game-winner.

Madison is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 45 goals over those nine matches. As for West Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7-1.

Coming up, Madison will be playing in front of their home fans against Owen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Owen will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last. West Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
