Recap: Wisner-Pilger Gators vs. Clarkson/Leigh Patriots
The Wisner-Pilger Gators were the 59-46 winner over the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Wisner-Pilger took a hard 60-43 fall against the Patriots on Tuesday. Wisner-Pilger's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Clarkson/Leigh was led to victory by Korbin Lemburg and Wyatt Crosley. Lemburg dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Crosley scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crosley has scored all season. Kyle Mcmullin was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Wisner-Pilger dropped their record down to 1-17 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Clarkson/Leigh, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-15.
Wisner-Pilger will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Cougars on February 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Lyons-Decatur Northeast is ranked 243rd, while the Gators are ranked 256th). As for Clarkson/Leigh, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
