Soccer Recap: South Iredell Takes a Loss

South Iredell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves.

South Iredell's goal came courtesy of Ari Cousins, who's now up to four this season.

South Iredell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-1. As for Ballantyne Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.

Coming up, South Iredell is taking a road trip to take on Hickory Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hickory Ridge's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so South Iredell's offense will have their work cut out for them. Ballantyne Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
