Basketball Recap: Ozona Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Christoval, Ozona was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Sonora Broncos by a score of 63-52. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 59-56 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Sonora still got an impressive performance from Juan Castillo, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Castillo's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kameryn Aguero, who posted 18 points.

Ozona's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Sonora, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Ozona and Miles will round out the year against one another at at 10:15 a.m. on Friday. As for Sonora, they will square off against Tournament Opponent at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
