Basketball Recap: York Comes Up Short

York played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the A.C. Flora Falcons and fell 74-34. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.

When it comes to explaining why York lost, don't look at Christian Smith. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points.

This is the second loss in a row for York and nudges their season record down to 3-17. As for A.C. Flora, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-9.

York and A.C. Flora could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. York will face off against South Pointe at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th down 174 places (216 vs. 42). Similarly, A.C. Flora (ranked 66th) will meet Lancaster (ranked third) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
