Basketball Recap: Demopolis Comes Up Short

Demopolis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jemison Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-38 back in December of 2024.

Demopolis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Jemison, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Demopolis has already played their next match (against Marion), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jemison and Selma will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
