Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Central's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Central won the last time they faced Weeki Wachee and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Central Bears walked away with a 49-37 win over the Weeki Wachee Hornets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braydon Prospero, who posted 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Rommy Abreau was another key player, going 6 of 8 en route to 14 points.

Prospero wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weeki Wachee only racked up two assists.

Weeki Wachee's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Logan White, who put up 17 points in addition to eight boards and four steals, and Jayden Parent, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 14 points and five steals. Parent is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Weeki Wachee, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Central has already played their next contest, a 76-36 defeat against Lecanto on the 17th. As for Weeki Wachee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-66 loss against Springstead on the 17th.
